Server Stats Installation

The server stats toolkit sends CPU, memory usage and disk space information to Status Monitor, so you can monitor and get alerts on server performance.

  1. Download the toolkit

    You will need full root access to your server. From the command line, run the command below to download the server stats toolkit.

    wget https://app.status-monitor.co.uk/drivers/server-stats
  2. Make it executable

    Set the permissions so the script can be executed:

    chmod 777 server-stats
  3. Connect it to your monitor

    Create a .env file in the same directory as your installation, then add the variables below with your unique monitor UUID and your server’s IP address.

    MONITOR_UUID=
    IP_ADDRESS=
  4. Test the installation

    Trigger a send manually. There is no output when it works, and you should see data in your Status Monitor dashboard.

    /root/server-stats send
  5. Schedule it

    Add a cron job so the information is sent continuously. Open your crontab:

    crontab -e

    Then add this line to your cron job list:

    * * * * * /root/server-stats send >> /dev/null 2>&1
